    • James Edward Willetts, 34, of 15 Parkside Boulevard, LaVale, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Cumberland, he was a son of Mrs. Agnes (Conway) Willetts, LaVale, and the late Earl G. Willetts. Mr. Willetts was a 1961 graduate of Allegany High School and a 1963 graduate of Potomac State College, where he was a member of the baseball teams. In 1964, while a student at West Virginia University, Mr. Willetts was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident while on a trip with the WVU baseball team. Mr. Willetts was employed as a scout in this area for the Boston Red Sox. He also played baseball for the Frostburg Merchants in the Pen-Mar League, and was a member of the LaVale Athletic Association and the High School Rec League. Also surviving, besides his mother, is a brother, Earl T. Willetts, LaVale. The body is at the Wendt Funeral Home. Cumberland News, Monday, May 9, 1977
