FINZEL — Evelyn L. Bolden, 72, of Finzel Road, Finzel, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at her residence. Born April 21, 1930, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Flossie (Burdock) Boyer. Mrs. Bolden was also preceded in death by two sisters, Arlena Edwards and Ramona Boyer. Mrs. Bolden was retired from Schwab’s and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Garrett County Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pocahontas, Pa. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Oliver Bolden; four sons, Donald and wife Barbara, Gallipolis, Ohio, David and wife Debbie, Finzel, Dean and wife Laura, Finzel, and Doug and wife Linda, Hagerstown; one daughter, Denise Eckhart and husband John, Clarysville; nine grandchildren, Donna, Chris, Rhiannon, Bob, Angie, Brady, Samantha, Ben, and Jonna; two great-grandchildren, Kodie and Arianna Patrick; and one sister, Mildred Baker and husband Jim, Finzel. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, on Monday at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Father Albert Anselmi as celebrant. Interment will be in Finzel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Eckhart, Bob Bolden, Chris Bolden, Danny Baer, Steve Baer, and Bill Arnone. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pocahontas, PA 15552. Cumberland Times obituary.
