- Pearl Elizabeth Eisler, 78, formerly of Finzel, Md., died June 15, 1994 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born on January 3, 1916 in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of the late Howard Finzel and Alberta (Bolden) Finzel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Eisler; one daughter, Shirley Resh; and two brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Garlitz, Avilton, Md.; two brothers, Stanley Finzel, Grantsville, Md., and Donald Finzel, Salisbury; five sisters, Irene Baker, Dorothy Lotz, Leotta "Bake" Christner, all of Finzel Road, Rhoda Byrd, Frostburg, Md., and Patsy Mikesell, Derry, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on June 17. Services were conducted at the funeral home on June 18, where Msgr. John L. Reinsfelder officiated. Interment, Finzel Cemetery. New Republic, Meyersdale, June 23, 1994
