She had been in failing health the past year. Born in Finzel, she was a daughter of the late William and Lucinda (McKenzie) Brown. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. Surviving are her husband, Robert Bittner; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Fadeley, RD 2, Frostburg; Mrs. Irene McKenzie, Frostburg; Mrs. Mary Romesburg, Meyersdale; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Haas, Mrs. Anna Conway, Philadelphia; Mrs. Edna Clark, Prince Frederick; a brother, Albert Brown, Somerset, Pa.; 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. The rosary will be recited there tomorrow at 2 p.m. August 28, 1965.
