McKenzie, 89, formerly of Finzel Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center. Born Feb. 17, 1915, in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Grace (LaRue) Rosenberger. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. McKenzie, on Nov. 27, 2001; one brother, Emory F. Rosenberger; and one sister, Edna Kimble. Ms. McKenzie was a retired seamstress from the Meyersdale Shirt Factory. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. Surviving are one son, Donald James McKenzie, Finzel; two daughters, Dorothy V. Sunderland, Worthington, Ohio, and Susan K. Evans, Rawlings; one brother, Arthur W. Rosenberger, Finzel; two sisters, Alberta Rosenberger and Evelyn Baker, both of Frostburg; five grandchildren Victor Ruehl, Donald McKenzie Jr., David McKenzie, Phillip Evans and Angela Evans; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Monsignor Paul Byrnes as celebrant. Interment will be in the Finzel Cemetery.
