  Notes	FROSTBURG — Leonard C. Shockey, 83, of 1071 Finzel Road, Frostburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born Nov. 21, 1913, in Pocahontas, Pa., he was the son of the late Henry and May (Jones) Shockey. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche (McKenzie) Shockey, and three brothers, Freeman, Carl, and Roy Shockey. Mr. Shockey was retired from the Celanese Fiber Corporation Filtration Department. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 348, and was a life member of the Eastern Garrett Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are one son, Gerald Shockey and wife Lois, Finzel; three daughters, Alice Snyder and husband Donald “Joe,” Finzel, Nancy Barmoy and husband Terry, Meyersdale, Pa., and Faye Collins and husband Jerry, Bel Air; three sisters, Verda Werner, Finzel, Pearl McKenzie, Ravanna, Ohio, and Charlotte Wiley, Barberton, Ohio; one brother, Harold Shockey, Johnstown, Pa.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. Services will be conducted at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Route 40, Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jay West officiating.
