- Pearl SHOCKEY (daughter of Henry SHOCKEY and Mae Jones) was born on 17 Nov 1919 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. She died on 21 Jun 1999 in Ravenna, Portage Co., Ohio. RAVENNA, Ohio - Pearl L. McKenzie, age 79, of Ravenna, formerly of Finzel, Md., died Monday, June 21, 1999, at the Cleveland Clinic following several months of failing health. Born Nov. 17, 1919, in Meyersdale, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mae (Jones) Shockey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. McKenzie, in March 1998; and four brothers, Carl, Freeman, Leonard and Roy Shockey. Mrs. McKenzie was retired from Lamb Electric in Kent where she worked for 25 years. Surviving are one daughter, Darlene McKenzie, Ravenna; one brother, Harold Shockey and wife, Mary Margaret, Johnstown, Pa.; two sisters, Verda Werner and husband, Nelson "Scootch," and Charlotte Willey, Barberton; and a half-brother, Edison Shockey, Florida. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. by her nephew, Benny Werner, as speaker.
