Mrs. Elsie McKenzie, 49, died Oct. 22, at her home in Friedens RD 2. She was the daughter of C. M. and Mary (Brent) Watkins. Her husband, Dallas McKenzie and a son, Dean, survive. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Fred, Leroy and Walter Watkins, Mrs. Edward Sarver and Mrs. Russell Denner, all of Friedens; Clarence Watkins, Somerset RD 5. She was a life-long and faithful member of the Shanksville U. B. Church, where services were conducted Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, November 10, 1949
