    • Elsie Watkins (daughter of C. M. Watkins and Mary BRENT) was born about 1900. She died on 22 Oct 1949 in Friedens, Stonycreek Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. Mrs. Elsie McKenzie, 49, died Oct. 22, at her home in Friedens RD 2. She was the daughter of C. M. and Mary (Brent) Watkins. Her husband, Dallas McKenzie and a son, Dean, survive. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Fred, Leroy and Walter Watkins, Mrs. Edward Sarver and Mrs. Russell Denner, all of Friedens; Clarence Watkins, Somerset RD 5. She was a life-long and faithful member of the Shanksville U. B. Church, where services were conducted Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, November 10, 1949
