  Notes	Phyllis I. McKenzie, 94, of Wellersburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 24, 2016, at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab. Born Feb. 15, 1922, in Philson, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles Theodore and Jennie Mae (Kennell) Weimer. She was also preceded in death by her husband in 1991, Albert J. McKenzie; a sister, Gladys Powers, and son-in-law, David Shumaker Sr. Survived by children, Charles McKenzie and wife, Diane of Ellerslie, Sandra Shumaker of Wellersburg; grandchildren, Vicky Glass and husband, Rick of Wellersburg, David Shumaker Jr. and wife, Paula of Imler, six great-grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan Diehl, Laken and McKenzie Glass, Rachel and Tasha Shumaker; and a sister, Violet Shockey of Wellersburg. Mrs. McKenzie attended Comps Church. She volunteered at the Wellersburg Fire Hall for many years. She enjoyed ceramic and picture puzzles. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meyersdale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Comps Church. The family would like to thank WMHS Frostburg Nursing and Rehab and Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Phyllis and for all the friendships that were made.
