- Frostburg, Aug. 27 — Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Crowe Finzel, 66, wife of the late Lawrence Finzel, who died yesterday at noon at Miners' Hospital, were held this afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pansy Hopkins, 28 Water street. Rev. C. J. Brady, pastor of the Grace M. E. Church, South, officiated. Interment was in Finzel Cemetery. She is survived by four children: Lawrence, New York; James, Midlothian, and Raymond and Mrs. Pansy Hopkins, this city. She was a sister of Mrs. William Murphy, Mrs. Calvin Wilson and Eugene and Thomas Crowe, all of Garrett county. The Cumberland Evening Times, August 27, 1937
