- Finzel - Irvin J. McKenzie, 54, was found dead near his home yesterday. He was last seen on Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities, who said he died of natural causes. A native of Finzel, he was a son of Mrs. Luella (Steinla) McKenzie, and the late Clarence J. McKenzie. Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Ravenscroft, of Finzel; Mrs. Mary Layman and Mrs. Evelyn Winner, both of Frostburg; four brothers, Hubert, Arthur, Carroll and Carlton McKenzie, all of Finzel. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. The Cumberland News, January 4, 1969.
Finzel – Services for Irvin J. McKenzie, 54, who died Friday, will be conducted in the Durst Funeral Home tomorrow at 9:30 am. Internment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pocahontas, Pa. Friends will be received in the funeral home after 4:00 pm today. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home today at 7:30 pm. Cumberland Times January, 5, 1969.
