- FROSTBURG — Mrs. Gladys K. Ravenscroft, 77, of 242 Lower Consol Road, died Thursday in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, Pa. Born in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Luella (Steinla) McKenzie. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton P. Ravenscroft. Mrs. Ravenscroft was a retired self-employed licensed practical nurse. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin, and the Court of St. Michael 2058 of the Catholic Daughters of America. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Cawley and Mrs. Maxine Huss, both of Dunmore, Pa.; Mrs. Marian Simmons, Cumberland; and Mrs. Joan Evans, Binghamton, N.Y.; three brothers, Arthur McKenzie and Carroll McKenzie, both of Finzel, and Carlton McKenzie, Frostburg; one sister, Evelyn Winner, Frostburg; 29 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
