FROSTBURG — Hugh J. McKenzie, 60, Foundry Row, Mt. Savage, died yesterday at his home after an extended illness. Born in Greenville Township, Pa., June 21, 1901, he was a son of Joshua and Amanda Arklie McKenzie. His wife, Marcella Baer, preceded him in death. He was a retired miner. Surviving are two sons, Norwood McKenzie, Baltimore, and Donald E. McKenzie, Chanute AFB, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. William Timney, Moscow; Mrs. John Fretwell, Baltimore; and Mrs. Shirley Adams, Pittsburgh; two brothers, Raymond McKenzie, of Ohio, and Harold McKenzie, Meyersdale; six sisters, Mrs. Eva Werner, Bowling Green; Mrs. Elsie Landis, Boswell, Pa.; Mrs. Ruth Hostetler and Mrs. Beda Weimer, both of Meyersdale, Mrs. Edna McKenzie, Rocksville, Ohio; and Mrs. Zelma Werner, Finzel. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home. The Cumberland Evening Times, October 9, 1961 He was buried on 11 Oct 1961 in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Mount Savage, Allegany Co., Maryland.
