- MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Royal DeSales McKenzie, 79, of RD 3, died Thursday, April 4, 1991 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born March 2, 1912, in Greenville Township, he was a son of the late George and Ellen (Lowery) McKenzie. He was preceded in death by a son, George McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a retired employee of Kaiser Refractory. He is survived by his widow, Grace (Baker) McKenzie; five sons, Elbert McKenzie, Delbert McKenzie, Carl McKenzie and Ray McKenzie, all of RD 3; and Donald McKenzie, Berlin; a daughter, Hazel McKenzie, Frostburg, Md.; one sister, Leora Butler, Salisbury; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Seth Rugg. Friends will be received at the Leckemby Funeral Home Saturday. Services will be conducted there Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William Davis. Interment will be in Greenville Cemetery.
