A native of Frostburg, he was a son of the late Leonard and Edna (Smith) McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a farmer and meat cutter and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Donna Shriver, Frostburg; Mrs. Carolyn Shoemake, Jessup; Mrs. Debra Carder, Cresaptown; a son, James L. McKenzie, Frostburg; seven sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Lapp and Miss Mary McKenzie, both of Cresaptown; Mrs. Anna Mae Brode, Frostburg; Mrs. Helen Baker, Cumberland; Mrs. Alice Albright, Finzel; Mrs. Edna McCurry, Beltsville; Mrs. Mildred Middleton, Detroit; Mich.; three brothers, Francis McKenzie, Finzel; Irvin McKenzie, Mt. Savage; Eugene McKenzie, Pasadena; and eight grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Rest Haven Funeral Home where a service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today.
