- Gilmore, Jan. 20 - Mrs. Eleanor (Thrasher) Blubaugh McKenzie, 76, wife of Leo McKenzie, this place, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Parks, 164 East Main street, Frostburg. She had been ill four weeks. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Thrasher, she had been a resident of Gilmore for the past 14 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland. Both she and her present husband were married twice. Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. John Fazenbaker, Gilmore; Mrs. Elizabeth Burkholder, Jenners, Pa.; Mrs. Ruth Clark, Ligonier, Pa.; Mrs. Mary Parks, Frostburg; six sons, Joseph A. Blubaugh, seaman second class with the Navy in Bermuda; Jacob Blubaugh and John F. Blubaugh, Gilmore; James A. Blubaugh, Loartown; Chester A. and Harry Blubaugh, both of Cresaptown. Also surviving are the following step-children: Mrs. Mattie Beeman, Gilmore; Mary and Agnes McKenzie, Washington, D. C.; Robert McKenzie, Gilmore; Joseph McKenzie, Frostburg; and Bernard McKenzie, Cleveland, O.; a brother, Enoch Thrasher, Midland; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Metcalf, Westernport; Mrs. Ruth Lancaster, Rawlings; 35 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements have not been completed.
