- Jacob Fisher – Frostburg – Jacob Fisher, 47, died suddenly this morning at his home, 28 College Avenue. He was a son of Mrs. Mary Ellen (Plummer) Fisher and the late William Fisher. Surviving besides his mother, are his widow, Mrs. Mabel (McKenzie) Fisher; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Jenkins; a son, Pvt. Jack Fisher, stationed with the Army at Fort Devens, Mass.; two brothers, William and Albert Fisher, both of Frostburg, and six sisters, Mrs. Claude Heiff, Potomac Park, and Mrs. Homer Robinette, Mrs. Charles Mille, Mrs. John Clise, Mrs. Wilbert Williams and Mrs. Elva Fisher, all of Frostburg. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Hafer Funeral Home. Rev. George L. Wehler. Pastor of Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church will officiate and burial will be in the St. Michael’s Cemetery. Cumberland Evening Times, Wednesday, September 3, 1952
