He died on 4 Jun 1970 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. GRANTSVILLE - Howard W. Robeson, 83, of near here, died yesterday at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born at Avilton, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Rhoda (Garlitz) Robeson. His wife Gertrude (Garlitz) Robeson, preceded him in death. Mr. Robeson was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church at Avilton. Surviving are a son, Connel Robeson, Frostburg; three daughters, Mrs. Rose Edwards, New Hall, Calif.; Mrs. Eva Hollada, with whom he resided, and Mrs. Pearl Wedge, RD 1 Meyersdale; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. at St. Ann's Church by Rev. Conrad Raffel. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Cumberland News, June 5, 1970
