- Mrs. Louis A. Rogers – Mrs. Alice Marie Rogers, 60, wife of Louis A. Rogers, Copiague, Long Island, New York, died Friday at her home there. A native of Mt. Savage, she was born December 22, 1899, a daughter of the late George W. and Susan D. (McKenzie) Lancaster. Besides her husband, she is survived by seven brothers, James E., Raymond T., William F., Gilbert B.’ and Edgar Lancaster, all of Mt. Savage, and four sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Dickey, Meyersdale, Pa.; Miss Hilda F. Lancaster and Mrs. Mary Crites, both of LaVale, and Mrs. Margaret Wagner, Fairgo. The body will be at the Stein Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 p.m. in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Mt. Savage. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Cumberland Sunday Times, Sunday, January 17, 1960 (Note: although the obit references that she had seven brothers, it only listed five of them.)
