Lancaster George Washington Lancaster, 74, retired real estate and lumber dealer, died this morning at his home, LaVale. He was a son of the late James and Mary (Logsdon) Lancaster, Somerset County, Pa. Mr. Lancaster, a widower, is survived by seven sons, James, Raymond, William and Gilbert, Edgar, Gerald and John Lancaster; five daughters, Mrs. J.W. Dickey, Meyersdale, Pa.; Mrs. William Crites, Mrs. Harold Wagner, this city; Miss Hilda Lancaster, at home; Mrs. Alice Lancaster, Baltimore and one sister, Mrs. J.J. Brennan, Fayette, City, Pa. Funeral services will be held at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with interment in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Mt. Savage. Cumberland Evening Times, Saturday, October 2, 1937
