- AVILTON — Mrs. Lula M. McKenzie, 69, wife of Raymond McKenzie, of here, died yesterday in Miners Hospital, Frostburg, where she had been a patient since November 2. A native of Garrett County, she was born June 14, 1891, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rhoda (Garlitz) Robeson. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church of Avilton and the Christian Mothers of the church. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Gilbert and Paul McKenzie, both at home, and Austin and Leonard McKenzie, both of RD 2, Frostburg; three daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Dugan, Frostburg; Mrs. Ann Fowler, at home, and Mrs. Mary Emma Warnick, Mt. Clemens, Mich.; a brother, Howard Robeson, of here; a sister, Mrs. Emma Winner, Frostburg; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville where the Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p. m. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a. m. in St. Ann's Church by Rev. Conrad Raffael, OFM, Cap., pastor. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
She was buried on 23 Nov 1960 in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland.
