- Frostburg - Joseph McKenzie, 78, died yesterday at Arlington (Va.) Hospital. Born in Avilton, he was a son of the late Zachary and Margaret (Durst) McKenzie. He was a retired carpenter. His wife, Elizabeth (Finzel) McKenzie, preceded him in death. Surviving are one son, Harry McKenzie, and one daughter, Mrs. Melvin Drake, both of Baltimore; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Diebler, Mrs. Ella Drees, and Mrs. Matilda Warner, all of the Frostburg area. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Avilton.The body is at the Durst Funeral Home.
