GRANTSVILLE - James F. McKenzie, retired farmer, died yesterday at the Evans Nursing Home in Oakland. Born in Avilton, he was a son of Isadore and Henrietta McKenzie, and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Avilton. His wife, Mrs. Emma (Gray) McKenzie, preceded him in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Albert Garlitz, Star Route, Frostburg, and a sister, Mrs. Rachel Miller, of Pennsylvania. The body is at the home of his daughter. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Requiem mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Church by Rev. Leiter, OFM Cap., and interment will be in the parish cemetery. All right...After spending two nights in the dark and cold (Yep, I was one of those households in Montgomery County who lost electricity and with it, lights, heats, internet, and telephones on Wednesday morning. Wednesday and Thursday nights I read my flashlight from 6:00 pm to 9 pm and then jumped in bed with my clothes on. Electricity came on today at about 2:00 pm.
I don't want to do that again!
