FROSTBURG - Thomas Patrick McKenzie, 86, of RD 2, Frostburg, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 1991, at Lions Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, where he had been a patient since August 1990. Born Jan. 27, 1905, in Garrett County, he was the son of the late Lewis and Mary (McKenzie) McKenzie. Preceding him in death was his wife, Nellie (Garlitz) McKenzie, on August 10, 1988. Mr. McKenzie was the last survivor of his immediate family. He was a retired farmer and logger and a member of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Frostburg. Surviving him are seven sons, Ralph McKenzie; David McKenzie; Regis McKenzie; Roger McKenzie; Olin McKenzie, all of Frostburg; Joseph McKenzie, Zihlman; Lafe McKenzie, Salisbury, Pa.; four daughters, Thelma Iser, Rawlings; Martha Fadley, Frostburg; Helen Resh, Grantsville; Ora Keister, Frostburg; 33 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville on Monday with a Christian Wake Service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael’s Church.
