- Samuel McKenzie – Frostburg, March 6 – Samuel G. McKenzie, 69, retired farmer and native of Garrett County, died last night in Miners Hospital where he was admitted seven weeks ago. He had been living with his sister, Mrs. Allen Baker, West Loo Street. Mr. McKenzie was unmarried, belonged to St. Anne’s catholic Church in Addison, Pa. Also surviving are three other sisters, Mrs. Ruth carey, Orange, Texas; Mrs. Bruce Robeson, Hancock, and Mrs. Milton Younkin, Grantsville, and five brothers, Frank McKenzie, Orange; Joseph McKenzie, Cumberland; John McKenzie, Tyrone, Pa.; Jacob McKenzie, Frostburg; and James H. McKenzie, Long Stretch, Garrett County. Cumberland Evening Times., Thursday, March 6, 1947
Samuel G. McKenzie, 69, a retired farmer and a member of St. Anne's R. C. Church at Addison (sic: Avilton), died Wednesday in Miners Hospital at Frostburg, Md. He was a native of Garrett County. Connellsville Daily Courier, March 7, 1947 He was buried on 8 Mar 1947 in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland.
