- Frostburg, Md., Jan. 17 — Mrs. Eleanor (McKenzie) Thomas, 37, wife of Conrad McKenzie (sic: Thomas), 77 Ormond street, died this morning in Miners' Hospital, where she was admitted last night. Besides her husband she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter McKenzie, Garrett county; two tisters, Mrs. Florence Garlitz, Cumberland; Miss Jenny McKenzie, at home; five brothers, Dayton, Cumberland; Dallas, at home; Pvt. Ralph McKenzie, New York; and Technical Sgt. Stanley McKenzie and Cpl. Francis McKenzie, both with U.S. Forces in England. The Cumberland Evening Times, January 17, 1944.
