The dates are correct for James, even though he is listed as Jacob in the baptism announcement. Not sure which is the correct first name.
On census records, he is sometimes Richard, sometimes James R (In 1930 he is widowed and living with Richard, Mable, and Corbert, who must be James C., born 1916).
Death Certificate lists date of birth as April 15, 1871.
He died on 24 Dec 1955 in Garrett Co., Maryland. FROSTBURG — James Richard McKenzie, 84, died Saturday night at his home in Garrett county. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where a requiem mass was celebrated this morning. Interment was in St. Ann's Cemetery at Avilton. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Leo McKenzie, Garrett county; Mrs. Simon Caton, Finzel; and Mrs. Charles Cutter, Garrett county; two sons, Clarence McKenzie, Finzel, and Corbett McKenzie, Garrett county; two brothers, John and Patrick McKenzie, both of Frostburg; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Walsh and Mrs. Fannie Minnick, both of Frostburg; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
