Pearl Griffith, 85, of 24 Frost Avenue, died Saturday at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born in Garrett County on Oct. 8, 1901, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Rose (Garlitz) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. Griffith. Surviving are six sons, George Griffith, Frostburg; Robert Griffith, at home; Russell Griffith and Blaine Griffith, both of Oakdale, Calif.; Joseph Griffith and Clayton Griffith, of Portsmouth, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Verna Davis, Portsmouth; Mrs. Nancy Grant, Cumberland; Mrs. Jane Cumisky, Riverbank, Calif., 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. George L. Wehler. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Douglas Griffith, Jeffery Griffith, Richard Blagg, Richard Zimmerman, Clancy Rupp, Robert Grant.
