Frances Ann (Fannie) CHRISTNER (daughter of Samuel CHRISTNER and Barbara Miller) was born in Aug 1845 in Jenner Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. She died in 1934. Mrs. Fannie A. McKenzie, a worthy lady of Frostburg, has been granted a pension of $12 a month from January 30 last, as the widow of Jacob P. McKenzie, a soldier of the 2nd Maryland Regiment in the Civil War. Her certificate is No. 743,245. This shows the whole number of pensions granted to widows to date. Mr. Jacob Brown, of this city, was the attorney in the case. McKenzie, widow of the late Jacob McKenzie, died Sunday evening at her home here. She was in her eighty-eighth year. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at St. Michael’s Church. Burial will be at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Avilton. Mrs. McKenzie leaves the following children: Mrs. Joseph Welsh, Mrs. Robert Minnick, Mrs. Joseph Minnick, John and Patrick McKenzie of this city, Richard McKenzie, Garrett County, Mrs. Oscar McKenzie, Grantsville.
