Frostburg - Joseph R. McKenzie, 75, of RD 2, Salisbury, Pa., died yesterday at Miners Hospital shortly after being admitted. Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Urias and Matilda (Hutzel) McKenzie. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are a son, James F. McKenzie, here; two daughters, Mrs. Murrell McKenzie, RD 2, Frostburg, and Mrs. John Urich, Somerset, Pa.; two brothers, George McKenzie, Flintstone, and Oren McKenzie, LaVale; two sisters, Mrs. Olin Garlitz, RD 2, Frostburg, and Mrs. Roy Miller, Barberton, Ohio; 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 3 until 5 and 7 until 9 p.m. The Cumberland News, April 10, 1965.
He was buried in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland.
