Grantsville, July 12 — A requiem mass for Mrs. Annie M. McKenzie, 67, wife of Thomas L. McKenzie, of Avilton, who died Wednesday morning at her home, will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Catholic church at Avilton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. McKenzie had been in ill health for the past year. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. Born at Greenville Township, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Ogias(sic) and Elizabeth (Breeg) (sic) Weimer. Surviving, besides her husband, are two stepsons, Marshall McKenzie, of Pinto, and Grant McKenzie of Baltimore. The Cumberland Evening Times, July 12, 1946

Mrs. Annie (Weimer) McKenzie, 67, formerly residing near Meyersdale, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at her home in Avilton, Md. Born on Sept. 17, 1878, in Greenville Twp., she was a daughter of Ozias and Elizabeth (Breig) Weimer. She was the wife of Thomas L. McKenzie, who survives, along with a son, Anthony, Salisbury R.D. She was a sister of Edward Weimer, Avilton; John and Lawrence, both of Salisbury; George, Frostburg, Md.; James, Mt. Savage, Md.; Mrs. Eugene Oltwoposs, Gettysburg; Mrs. Esther Garlitz, Detroit, Mich.; Sister Mary Veronica, St. Clair, Pa., and Mrs. Martha Olthoff, York. One sister and one brother preceded her in death. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton. She had been ill for several years. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, Avilton, with Rev. Father David officiating. Burial in the church cemetery under the direction of R. Reich & Son, Meyersdale.
