FROSTBURG - Mabel Violet McKenzie, 91, of Jenkins Street, Frostburg, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Born June 22, 1913, in Garrett County, she was the daughter of the late James Calvin Wilson and Anna May (Crowe) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick T. McKenzie; two sisters, Velma McKenzie, and Fern Thomas; and six brothers, Ivan Wilson, David "Dan" Wilson, Herbert Wilson, Argel Wilson, Victor Wilson, and George Wilson. Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Frostburg United Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, William C. McKenzie and wife Willie Ann, Frostburg, Gerald R. McKenzie and wife Kay, Salisbury, Pa., and Frederick L. McKenzie and wife Sheila, Frostburg; two daughters, M. Carol Warnick and husband Bright, Grantsville, and Carlinda Jimerfield and husband Tom, Hagerstown; 14 grandchildren, Nancy Ann, William F. and Dennis McKenzie, Kathy Golightly, Leisa Frooman, Lynda Artusio, Melissa Kenny, Britt McKenzie, Pamela Pfaff, Kimberly Hartman, Kristl Marley, and Ben, Dan, and David Jimerfield; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pansy Merrill, Barton. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rebecca Vardiman officiating. Interment will be in the Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Finzel. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
