Frostburg - Mrs. Lavina McKenzie, wife of W. H. McKenzie, near Finzel, Garrett county, died last night at the home of her son, Robert McKenzie, 2 Park street, after a lingering illness. Born in Garrett county, Mrs. McKenzie was a daughter of the late John and Emma Machin. She belonged to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Surviving besides her husband and son are six other children, Frederick McKenzie, Frostburg; Harold, Murrell, Albert and Richard McKenzie, all of Garrett county, and Mrs. Thomas Wagner, also Garrett county; two brothers, Thomas Machin, Mt. Savage, and John Machin, Westernport; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brand, Wichita Falls, Texas; Mrs. Henry Finzel, Frostburg; and Mrs. Fred Hare, Somerset, Pa.; 33 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
