- LONACONING — Gladys L. Wilhelm, 84, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at her home. Born Dec. 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Kathleen (Dishong) McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry L. Wilhelm, on Jan. 23, 2011. Gladys was a very special person and will be greatly missed. Gladys is survived by her children, Larry Wilhelm, Cumberland; Linda Adams and husband, Alan, Frostburg; Shirley Timney and husband, John, Frostburg; and Kenneth Wilhelm and wife, Carrie, Avilton; two grandchildren, Danny Timney and wife, Jamie, Virginia, and Christopher Adams and wife, Rebecca, Lonaconing; and four great-grandchildren, Madelyn Timney and Jacob Timney, Virginia, and Landon Housel and Aubrey Adams, Lonaconing. There will be no viewing. Graveside services will be private. The family gives a special thanks to her caregivers for the compassionate care given over the past three years.
