John McKenzie of Avilton died yesterday morning at 5 o'clock. He is survived by three sons and three daughters (sic: 7 sons and 5 daughters). Funeral will take place Friday at 11 o'clock from St. Ann's Catholic Church. The Cumberland Evening Times, February 24, 1921.
He was buried on 25 Feb 1921 in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland.

27ii.Frank MCKENZIE was born about 1870 in Garrett Co., Maryland. He died on 14 Mar 1948 in Orange, Texas. Mrs. Milton Younkin received word last week of the death of her brother, Frank McKenzie, a native of Garrett County, who died at his home at Orange, Tex., Sunday, Mar. 14. A shipyard carpenter, Mr. McKenzie had resided in Texas 50 years. He visited here about 13 years ago for the last time. He was the son of the late John and Sara McKenzie. Interment took place at Orange. Surviving are four sisters - Mrs. Milton Younkin, Grantsville; Mrs. Ruth Carey, Orange; Mrs. Allen Baker, Frostburg, and Mrs. Bruce Robinson, Hancock; and by four brothers - John McKenzie, Tyrone, Pa.; Joseph McKenzie, Cumberland; Jacob McKenzie, Frostburg; and James McKenzie, Mt. Zion. Meyersdale Republican, March 25, 1948.
