Born in Avilton, he was a son of the late Isadore and Elizabeth (McKenzie) Garlitz. He held membership in St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jeanattie Garlitz; a son Forrest Garlitz, Lorain, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Beechy, Cresaptown; Mrs. Violet Weimer, Avilton, and Mrs. Doris Ravenscroft, Lonaconing; a brother, Orville Garlitz, Avilton, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Winner, Midland. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church by Rev. Father Fidelus, pastor, and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
