McKenzie, Mary Margaret, born Sept. 21, 1877, single, operated a poultry farm in Pickaway Township. She was literally the "Chicken Queen." Her many hundreds of layers provided eggs on a well-run commercial basis and younger roosters were raised for their tasty meal and canned for distribution out of state. Mary died Dec. 27, 1945, of cancer at White Cross Hospital, Columbus, with burial at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
