- William Leslie McKenzie, 74, of Spring Gap; died yesterday at Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health the past several years. Born in Cresaptown, he was a son of the late George W. and Mary M. (Hershberger) McKenzie. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Oldtown American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Sportsmen Club, and Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. He was a retired Celanese Fibers Company employe. Surviving are his widow, Mary (Wheeler) McKenzie; two sons, William L. McKenzie, and Major Charles L. McKenzie with the Air Force, McGuire AFB, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Charles L. Patterson, Flintstone; two-brothers, George and Sylvester McKenzie, Cresaptown, and five grandchildren. The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.
