McKenzie, Sarah Frances, born Feb. 20,1867, was baptized on March 15, 1868.She attends school in June 1880 and later became Sister Mary Alonso, C.S.C., of the Congreg¬ ation of the Holy Cross, entering her religious community Sept. 7, 1899, becoming an official "laundress". During her short 60 years on this earth Sister M. Alonzo served the Lord in various housekeeping capacities in Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Utah and California. She died May 16, 1937, with burial at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Notre Dame, Indiana. Her niece, Sister Mary Teresina, C.S.C.,had joined this religious community in 1927. The Baptisms of Sarah, Samuel and Ignatius took place at Saint Mary's, Minerton, according to Archives, Diocese of Columbus.
