- Tri-towns – James Edward McKenzie, 74, a native of the Rawlings section died Thursday in Heiskell Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. McKenzie, a son of the late Aaron and (Margaret (Matin)(?) McKenzie, resided at Potomac Manor before moving to Morgantown 20 years ago where he had been employed as a coal miner. His wife, Maggie (Porter) McKenzie, formerly of Lonaconing, died three years ago. He is survived by a son, Porter, McKenzie; four daughters, Miss Verna McKenzie, at home; and Verna Helen and Annie, all of whom are married and reside in Morgantown, and two brothers, John B. McKenzie, Westernport, and Walter McKenzie, Beryl, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Riverside Apostolic Church with Rev. W.T. Poling officiating. Westernport - James E. McKenzie, Morgantown, W.Va., died Thursday night according to a telegram received by his brother, John B. McKenzie, Westernport.
Born near Rawlings, Md., Mr. McKenzie was a son of the late Aaron and Margaret Martin McKenzie. Before moving to Morgantown 20 years ago, he resided at Potomac Manor. He was employed as a coal miner at Morgantown.
Mr. McKenzie's wife, Mrs. Maggie Porter McKenzie, formerly of Lonaconing, died three years ago.
Surviving are one son, Porter McKenzie; four daughters, Miss Verna McKenzie at home, and Verta, Helen and Annie, all of whom are married and reside in Morgantown, and another brother, Walter McKenzie, Beryl, W.Va..
