Hoenicka, 72, of 516 Avondale Ave., died Sunday, June 10, 1990, at Memorial Hospital. Born in Cumberland, March 31, 1918, he was the son of the late Reid C. and Bernadette (McKenzie) Hoenicka. Mr. Hoenicka retired from the R. C. Marker Company as a sales person. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of several bowling leagues. He was past president and a charter member of the Western Maryland Bowling Association. Surviving are his widow, Beatrice (Beall) Hoenicka; one daughter, Judith A. Brehm, Cumberland; four sisters, Sarah Dorsey, Pauline Moyer, Bernadette Leidinger, and Rita Keplinger, Cumberland; and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Lee A. McDaniel. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. (No source listed.)
