Notes	The following is a petition filed in 1838 by three of the sons of Samuel McKenzie (b. 1751) in which all of the children of Samuel are listed. To the Honorable Theodorich Bland, Esquire Chancellor of Maryland and Judge of the land office The petition of Samuel McKinsie, John McKinsie and Gabriel McKinsie of Allegany County, humbly showeth That there was surveyed and laid out pursuant to a resolution of the General Assembly (pssed?) at April Session, 1787, amongst the Lots to the Westward of Fort Cumberland now in Allegany the following distinguished by the number 3369, containing fifty acres And whereas the said lot was by the Commissioner appointed in ____ of an Act of November Session, 1791, Chapter 84, sold to Samuel McKinsie (your petitioner's father who fully paid the purchase money) for the Same. That Samuel McKinsie (your petitioner's father) has since departed this life intestate, leaving your petitioners and the following children and heirs at Law namely: Sarah McKinsie (who intermarried with Christopher Garlitz) Eleanor McKinsie, Polly McKinsie and Jane McKinsie (who intermarried with James Geatty). That said Samuel had three other children, namely Catherine McKinsie and Elizabeth McKinsie, both of whom died before their father, unmarried and without issue, and Moses McKinsie (who died before his father leaving the following children, namely, Lewis McKiney, Jeremiah McKinsie, Basil McKinsie, Hilleray McKinsie, Leo McKinsie and Isadore McKinsie. Your petitioners therefore pray, as no patent has ever issued on said Lot. Your Honor will direct a patent to issue to them for the Same, to hold for themselves and for those claiming as heirs of their late father, Samuel McKinsie, deceased and they will ever pray. It reflects that as of 1800 he has 10 children. That number of children matches with the number of children listed on his personal home page of the McKenzies of Early Maryland web site as of September 30, 2018.
		1880 Federal Census Allegany County - Gabriel McKenzie This clipping from the 1800 Federal Census for Allegany County, Maryland shows Gabriel McKenzie (b. abt. 1758) living in the Wills Town District of the county. His brother Samuel is four names away on the page, and (presumably) their brother Aaron is 22 names further down the page. The writer, Michael A. McKenzie, has no data on this "Aaron", so it currently is speculation as to whether Aaron was a brother of Samuel and Gabriel.
		1800 Federal Census Allegany County - Aaron McKenzie This clipping from the 1800 Federal Census for Allegany County reflects an "Aaron" McKenzie with a wife and what appears to be seven children. There is a Samuel McKenzie and a Gabriel McKenzie who also appear on the same page. The writer, Michael A. McKenzie, as of September, 2018, has no data on this particular "Aaron". Gabriel McKenzie (b. abt. 1715) is said to have had a son, Aaron, who would fit the age profile of this particular "Aaron", but the author is unable to prove that this Aaron is the son of Gabriel (b. abt. 1715).

He also extracted some Maccenys, which was another family name that the author was chasing at the time he conducted this research.
