    LONACONING — Bonnie Sue (McKenzie) Holshey, 54, of Washington Street, Lonaconing, died Sunday, May 9, 2021, at her home, in the arms of her loving husband, Gary, with her daughters, Tara and Jenna at her side, after fighting a long hard battle with Kidney Cancer. Born on Jan. 11, 1967, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Donald McKenzie and the late Margaret (Bogie) McKenzie. Bonnie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing. A 1985 graduate of Valley High School, she furthered her education at Allegany College of Maryland and Frostburg State University, where she earned her Master's in Business Education. She went on to work for Allegany County Board of Education as a secretary, retiring after 30 years from Mountain Ridge High School. A member of the Good Will Fire Co. and Ladies Auxiliary, Bonnie had been a member for nearly 30 years. She was also a member of the George's Creek Sorority Sisters. In her spare time, Bonnie loved to go to the beach, it did not matter the time of year. She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Gary Holshey, having been together for a total of 38 years, he never left her side; two loving daughters, Tara and Jenna; her father, Donald McKenzie; a sister, Donna Jean Ryan and husband, Russ; sister-in-law and brother- in-law, Dorothy and Biff Thompson; two nephews, Luke Thompson and special friend, Megan, and Mitch Thompson; special friend to her daughters, Baylee Mowbray; and many great friends, especially the 'Dirty Dozen.' Friends will be received at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 6 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held jointly by local fire companies and ladies auxiliaries at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg. The family would like to thank Hospice, Dr. Zaman, Dr. Ahmed and especially the 'Dirty Dozen' for the care and support given to Bonnie.     LONACONING — Margaret Elizabeth McKenzie, 88, of Lonaconing, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at Egle Nursing and Rehab, Lonaconing. Born Dec. 4, 1932, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Alec and Mary (Kirkwood) Bogie. She was preceded in death by one sister, Annie Howell, and two brothers, Jim Bogie and Alec 'Brother' Bogie. Margie was a member of Lonaconing First United Methodist Church where she donated most of her life in numerous ways, including being a member of First United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Good Will Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and president of Central Alumni Association. Margie was a graduate of Central High School where she was the valedictorian of her class. She went on to be the secretary for Valley High School for many years. She was Valley's number 1 fan and went to every game and community event. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald McKenzie; two daughters, Donna Jean Ryan and husband, Russ, and Bonnie Holshey and husband, Gary; two granddaughters, Tara Holshey and Jenna Holshey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills, with Pastor Tom Morgan as officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked to be made to Good Will Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, 16012 Rockville Street, S.W., Lonaconing, MD21539.     LONACONING — Evelyn (Moore) McKenzie Dawson, 91, of Lonaconing, died on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing. Born on April 10, 1910, in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Irving Moore and Elsie (Davis) Moore Neilson. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Garlitz McKenzie and Homer Leroy Dawson; three sisters, Helen Dawson, Elsie Wilson and Leola Spiker; and one brother, Irving Neilson. Mrs. Dawson was a member of the First Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Lonaconing Senior Citizens. She was a former employee of the Allegany County Infirmary. Surviving are one son, Donald McKenzie and wife Margie, Lonaconing; two step-children, Lester L. Dawson and wife Lama, Vale Summit, and Mary Lou Arnold and husband Alan, Rockville; two sisters, Phyllis Dawson, Florida, and Shirley Morgan, Barton; two grandchildren, Bonnie Holley and husband Gary, and Donna Jean Creegan and fiance Doug Kiddy, all of Lonaconing; two great-grandchildren, Tara Holshey and Jenna Holshey; two step-grandchildren, Thomas Arnold and wife Gladys, Warren, N.J., and Linda Stewart and husband John, Damascus; and five step-great-grandchildren, Casey and Alexa Arnold, and Dempsey, Cody and Lindsey Stewart. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, PA., 8 E.
