    FROSTBURG - Keith J. Hawkins, 33, of Woodland, died Monday, Feb. 25, 1991 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born Nov. 19, 1957 in Frostburg, he was the son of Robert J. and Peggy (Miller) Hawkins, Woodland. A 1975 graduate of Valley High School, Lonaconing, and a graduate of Frostburg State University, Mr. Hawkins had been employed by the Federal National Mortgage Association in Washington, D.C. Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Linda Kay Knox, RD 2, Frostburg; three brothers, Robert L. Hawkins, RD I, Frostburg; Randall S. Hawkins, Midland; David W. Hawkins, Frederick. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg. Services will be conducted there Thursday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Donald Spear. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

    FROSTBURG — Robert John “Kib” Hawkins, 75, of 19905 Woodland Road, SW, Frostburg, passed on peacefully with his family around him on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed. Born Oct. 31, 1929, in Midland, a son of the late Richard Hawkins and Pearl (Graham) Hawkins and was preceded in death by a son, Keith J. Hawkins. Robert was of the Methodist faith and was an employee of Kelly Springfield Tire Co. where he worked for 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Marie (Miller) Hawkins; three sons, Robert L. Hawkins and wife Leah, Woodland, Randall S. Hawkins and wife Julie, Claysville, and David W.
    Hawkins and wife Mandy, LaVale; one daughter, Linda Kay Chipman and husband Bob, Grantsville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Forrest Hawkins, Cumberland. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Eichhorn McKenzie Funeral Home, Midland, on Monday, April 18, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Frostburg Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Sacred Heart Hospital for all they did for our family.     Peggy Marie (Miller) Hawkins, 89, of Woodland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Frostburg June 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Oma (McKenzie) Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert John "Kibben" Hawkins, and her son, Keith Hawkins. Peggy was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She loved playing bingo and making cakes and candy. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she enjoyed spending it with her family. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. She is survived by one daughter, Linda and husband, Robert Chipman; three sons, Robert and wife, Leah, Randy and wife, Julie, and David and wife, Mandy; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
    The family would like to thank the staff of Egle Nursing and Rehab Center for the care and kindness they extended to Peggy. Due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 virus, there will be a private graveside service held at Frostburg Memorial Park with Pastor David Schoch officiating. Born in Bayard, W.Va., June 20, 1908, she was a daughter of the late George S. and Annie (Stark) McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Miller, on Jan. 14, 1981. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and John McKenzie; one grandson, Keith Hawkins; and one granddaughter, Pam Miller. She was Methodist by faith and had been a patient for the past year at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Surviving is one daughter, Peggy M. (Miller) Hawkins, of Frostburg; one son, Jack Miller, of Ohio; one sister, Marie Taylor of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home on Wednesday. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. George Loar officiating. Born in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late John and Jeanne (Robinson) Stark and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Her husband, George S. McKenzie, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Henry McKenzie and John L. McKenzie, Frostburg; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Taylor and Mrs. Oma Miller, Lonaconng; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rowe, Frostburg; one brother, Henry Stark, Eckhart; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
