    MIDLOTHIAN - Luther A. ``Popcorn'' Korns, 68, of Midlothian, died Saturday, May 3, 1997, at his home. Born March 17, 1929, near Wellersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Allen Lester and Gladys Edna (Bittner) Korns. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Faith (Crowe) Korns on December 2, 1996; and two sisters, Allene and Anna Lee. Mr. Korns had been employed at Carl Belt, George Construction and Bachman Construction. He was a member of Local Union No. 616 and was awarded a 30-year membership pin. Mr. Korns was an adherent member of the Salvation Army and did a lot of volunteer work with the Salvation Army. He was a U.S. Army Airborne Korean conflict veteran. Surviving are one son, Gregory Korns Sr. and wife, Sharon, Salisbury, Pa.; two daughters, Rosalinda Kathleen Long and husband Charles David, Sr., California, Md., and Valerie Ellen (Korns) Palmer, Midlothian and Marble, N.C.; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Shawn, Cary Annette Korns, Charles David Long Jr., and Gregory Allen Korns Jr. and wife;two brothers, Melvin Korns and wife Dolores, Wellersburg, and Alvin Lee Korns and wife Darlene, Hagerstown; and one sister, Gladys Estalaine and husband Dietle, Jackson Center, Pa. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the Salvation Army Chapel, 701 E.     MIDLOTHIAN — Faith E. Korns, “Dookie,” CB handle “The Leader,” 63, of Midlothian, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born March 17, 1933, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Nannie (Arnold) Crowe. She also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rebecca Ellen Leece; and two sisters, Linda Gray and Rosemary Garlitz. Mrs. Korns was a Salvation Army Soldier. She was a member of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary and Home League, and the Salvation Army was her church. She was a leader in the Salvation Army Senior Citizens and cooked for the children and seniors of the Salvation Army Corps Community Center on many occasions. She did this “As unto the Lord.” She was a member of the Cumberland REACT Team since 1977. She was the matriarch of the whole family. Her children and family will miss her very much. Surviving are her husband, Luther A. Korns; one son, Gregory Korns and wife Sharon, Salisbury, Pa.; two daughters, Rosalinda Kathleen Long and husband Charles David Long Sr., California, Md., and Valerie Ellen Korns-Palmer, Marble, N.C.; six grandchildren, Gregory Allen Korns Jr., Cary Korns, Annette Korns, Jennifer and Shawn, and Charles David Long Jr.; four brothers, Walter Crowe Jr. and wife Phyllis, Hoffman, Larry Crowe, Hoffman, James Crowe and wife Vickie, LaVale, and Wayne Crowe and wife Pat, New York City; and two sisters, Nancy Cutter, Frostburg, and Betty Fazenbaker, Hoffman. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg. Services will be conducted at the Salvation Army, 701 E. First St., Cumberland, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Major Robert S.     FROSTBURG - Walter E. Crowe Sr., 74, of 88 Frost Village, died Saturday in Frostburg Community Hospital. A native of Midlothian, he was a son of the late Nelson and Eveline (Stevey) Crowe. His wife, Nannie (Arnold) Crowe, preceded him in death. Mr. Crowe was a member of the Frostburg Senior Citizens. Surviving are four sons, Walter E.     FROSTBURG - Mrs. Nannie M. Crowe, 57, wife of Walter E. Crowe Sr., Hoffman, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital after an illness of several months. Born at Frostburg, she was a daughter of the late George and Ella (Meese) Arnold. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Luther Korns, Midlothian; Mrs. Charles Fazenbaker, Hoffman; Mrs. Edwin Garlitz and Mrs. Roy Cutter, both of Frostburg, and Mrs. Robert Gray, Cumberland; four sons, Walter E. Jr., Hoffman; Larry C., LaVale: James D., Cumberland, and Wayne F. Crowe, New York City; two brothers, Hoye and Charles Arnold, both of Finzel; a sister, Mrs. Carl Whitaker, Frostburg, and 22 grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. by Jehovah's Witnesses.
