    MCDONOUGH, Ga. — Rosemary Stanfield, 78, of McDonough, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014. She was born in Carlos, to the late William Thomas and Vivian Layman Winebrenner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Barrington Stanfield Sr. and her brother, Ronald O. Winebrenner. She attended Beall High School and upon graduation, relocated to Washington D.C. where she enjoyed an enriching career and retired as Chief Deputy Clerk of the Tax Division in 1990 for the Superior Court of Washington. Rosemary was proud to have descended from Western Maryland’s first settlers, some of who immigrated from Germany. Genealogy became her passion and she was an ardent reader who loved traveling throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. After her husband’s death, Rosemary retired to McDonough. Rosemary was very interested in politics. She enjoyed volunteering at Piedmont Henry Hospital, attending church and bible study at Jodeco Road First United Methodist Church in Stockbridge, Ga., and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren. Rosemary was a very kind and gentle soul with a loving and generous heart; always giving to others. Rosemary is survived by her children, Vicki Stanfield Hammond (Stephen), Seattle, Wash., Barry Stanfield (Vivian Wang), Aldie, Va., Adam Stanfield (Stephanie), Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Sean Stanfield, Kelsi Stanfield, Zack Stanfield, Matthew Hammond, Allison Stanfield, Tyler Penn; great-grandchild, Brady Penn; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Jodeco First United Methodist Church, Stockbridge, Ga., with Rev. Darris Baker officiating. Interment will take place in Fairfax, Va., on Monday Feb. 17, 2014. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jodeco First United Methodist Church, 1500 W.     Frostburg - Louis E. Winebrenner, 83, of Shaft, W. Va., was pronounced dead yesterday at the Garrett County Hospital in Oakland. He had been a patient of the Cuppett Nursing Home, Oakland, for three years. He was a son of the late Frank and Emma (Wilson) Winebrenner. He was twice married and both wives preceded him in death. Mary M. Plummer was his first wife and Anna Mary Hosinger his second. Mr. Winebrenner was a retired miner and member of the United Mine Workers. He is survived by three sons, William T. Winebrenner, Shaft; Clarence L. Winebrenner, Cumberland; and George H. Winebrenner, Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Michael Hughes, National, Md.; and Mrs. Margaret Teets, Baltimore; a brother, Frank Winebrenner, Braddock Farms, Pa.; a halfsister, Mrs. Grace Winebrenner, Borden Mines; 17 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home, 60 West Main Street, Frostburg, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p. m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. She was stricken by illness Monday after a walk from Carlos to Midlothian, falling into a slumber from which she never aroused. She is survived by her husband and nine children.
