FROSTBURG — Robert W. Crowe, 64, of Frostburg, died Friday at Assisted Living at Frostburg Village. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Assisted Living at Frostburg Village, 100 Village Parkway, Frostburg, Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, is in charge of arrangements. FROSTBURG — Kenneth W. Crowe, 59, of 135 Hill Street, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital, where he had been a patient since September 3. Born in Frostburg, he was a son of Frederick Crowe and the late Edith (Crump) Crowe. Mr. Crowe was employed as an analyst by the Celanese Corporation for 41 years, and was a member of Local 1874, TWUA. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member and past president of Eagles Lodge 1273. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his widow, Florence (Clopper) Crowe; three sons, Charles F. Crowe, New Carrolton; Robert W. Crowe and Kenneth L. Crowe, both of South Mountain, Pa.; two brothers, Ralph Crowe, Beltsville; Milton Crowe, Eckhart; two sisters, Miss Catherine Crowe, here; Mrs. Edith Rosso, Pottstown, Pa., and two grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m. A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 2 p.m. Rev. Kenneth E. Morelock will officiate and burial will follow in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James Myers, Albert Hochard, George Kennedy, Clyde Baker, George Lemmert and Harold Connors. FROSTBURG, Md. - Florence M. Crowe, 86, of 135 Hill St., died Monday, April 28, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Feb. 20, 1911, in Smithsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maggie Hartle Clopper. She was preceded in death by her husband William Kenneth Crowe. She was a homemaker. She had worked at Friends Aware, Cumberland. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Frostburg, Md. She was a charter member of Frostburg Chapter 221 Women of the Moose; a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1273 Auxiliary; Farrady Unit 24 Auxiliary of the American Legion; Frostburg Homemakers; Frostburg Senior Citizens; and Interfaith Community Food Pantry. She was a participant in the Council of the Alleganies. She is survived by two sons, Charles F. Crowe of Chester, Md., and Robert W. Crowe at home; one sister, Margaret Winters of Sharpsburg; one brother, Verdeen Clopper of Hagerstown; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Lee Crowe. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg. Pastor Esther M. Kuhre will officiate. FROSTBURG - Mrs. Edith Crowe, 69, wife of Fred Crowe, 135 South Water Street, died early this morning in Miners Hospital where she had been a patient eight days. Mrs. Crowe was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Roeder) Crump and held membership at First Presbyterian Church, Mountain Chapter 15, Order Eastern Star, and Calanthe Temple 3, Pythian Sisters. Surviving, besides her husband, are three sons, Kenneth Crowe, Frostburg; Ralph Crowe, Silver Spring, and Milton Crowe, Eckhart; two daughters, Mrs. Victor Rosso, Morgantown, W. Va., and Miss Catherine Crowe, at home; two brothers, Milton Crump, Luke, and Owen Crump, St. Petersburg, Fla., eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. by Rev. Paul Caravatta, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Eckhart, Md., May 4 - Funeral services for Fred Crowe, who died at his home in Eckhart, Monday morning, following an attack of apoplexy Thursday, were held yesterday afternoon. Rev. J. Wesley Webb, pastor of First Methodist Episcopal Church, was in charge. The pallbearers were Perry Dudley, John Holsinger, Samuel Lewis, George Filsinger, Joseph Rephann, and Thomas Eckhart; flowerbearers, Frank Dean, Henry Rephann, Patrick Drum and Roy Stewart. Mr. Crowe had resided in Eckhart practically all his life. The services were largely attended. Interment was in Eckhart Cemetery. The Cumberland Times, May 4, 1933

Frostburg, Feb. 26 — Services for Mrs. Mary Ann Crowe, 76, mother of former Mayor Frederick Crowe, who died yesterday at Miners Hospital, where she had been a patient seven weeks, will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow at the Hafer Funeral Home, where the body remains. The Rev. John Wilson, pastor of the Eckhart Methodist Church, will officiate, and interment will be in the Eckhart cemetery. A native and life resident of Eckhart, Mrs. Crowe was a daughter of the late Hannibal and Elizabeth Pengelly, pioneer residents of Eckhart. Other survivors include two sons, Reginald Crowe, at home; Clifford Crowe, Eckhart; and a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Ream, Canton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
