    FROSTBURG — Roy L. Cutter, 63, of Beall School Road, Frostburg, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, following a lengthy illness. Bom My 4, 1931, in Garrett County, he was the son of the late Charles F. Cutter and Mabel (McKenzie) Cutter, of Beall School Road. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother Russell; a sister Edna; and a brother Charles Jr. Mr. Cutter recently retired from the C&P Telephone Company as an auto mechanic after 27 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 0297 and a member St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Nancy (Crowe) Cutter, four daughters, Donna Diehl and husband David, Salisbury, Pa., Brenda Friend and husband Harry, Meyersdale, Pa., Shirley Cutter, at home, and Jan ice Friend and husband Thomas, Frostburg; two sons, Russell Cutter and wife Janet, and Roy L. Cutter Jr., and three brothers, Donald, Gene and James Cutter, all of Frostburg; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be private.     FROSTBURG — Nancy Cutter, 69, of Frostburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 14, 1939, in Frostburg, Nancy was the daughter of the late Walter Crowe and Nannie Nae (Arnold) Crowe. Nancy was also preceded in death by her her husband, Roy L. Cutter in 1995; three sisters, Linda Kay Gray, Rosemary Garlitz and Faith Korns; and one brother, Larry Crowe. Mrs. Cutter was retired from the Route 40 School, where she worked in the cafeteria. Nancy was a member of Saint Michael Church, Frostburg. She is survived by six children, Janice Friend and husband Thomas, Shirley Cutter, Roy Cutter Jr., Brenda Friend and husband Harry, Donna Deal and husband David and Russell Cutter; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Judy and husband Jansen, Thomas Friend and wife Stefanee, Scott Cutter, Christopher Cutter and fiancee Anika, Patrick Cutter, Harry Friend, Stephen Friend and wife Stephanie, Derek Cutter, Dustin Rouch and Spring Rouch; and eight great-grandchildren, Zachary Judy, Benjamin Judy, Ally Friend, Thomas Friend, Marcus Cutter, Isabella Friend, Estella Friend and Stephen Friend. Nancy is also survived by one sister, Betty Fazenbaker; three brothers, Walter “Sonny” Crowe, Wayne Crowe and Jimmy Crowe; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Frederick Cutter; three sons, Roy Cutter, Charles Cutter Jr., and Russell Cutter; one daughter, Edna Cutter; one great-granddaughter, Destiny Jones, and one grandson, Dale Jones, who died on April 20, 2007, at the Tri-Star mining accident. Surviving are three sons, James Cutter and wife Rachael, Frostburg Road, Gene Cutter and Sally, Beall School Road, and Donald Cutter and wife Bonnie, with whom she resided, Beall School Road; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, including Jason Shingler, whom she helped raise, ten great-great-grandchildren and many other children who called her grandma.
