    Barton - Billy R. Timney, 89, of 23106 Royale Lane, Barton, our Dad, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 4, 2011. Born Jan. 28, 1921, in Nikep, he was the son of the late Wm. R. Timney and Della M. (Fairgrieve) Timney. Beill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna B. (McKenzie) Timney; and granddaughter, Amanda A. Clark. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, May Colmer and Lola Lemon, both of Lonaconing; two brothers, James Timney of Tucson, Ariz., and John Timney of Barton. A United States Army veteran of World War II, he served in France and Germany as a staff sergeant. While in France he was the recipient of the Bronze Star of Valory. He retired in 1983 after 30 years of service at Westvaco. He was a member of the Lonaconing V.F.W. and the Barton Post 189 American Legion.He is survived by his children, Bonita Vinci and husband Richard of Barton, Nine Clark and husband Terry of LaVale, Wm. David Timney and wife Catherine of Moscow, and Sherry Fazenbaker and husband Marshall of Lonaconing; his grandchildren, Ursula Sterling, Shawn Vinci, Aaron Clark, Jennifer Woods, Phillip Woods, Regina Spiker, Christa Llewelyn, Marshall Fazenbaker and Eric Fazenbaker, his great-grandchildren, Mandy Bowman, Chassady Redhead and Alyza Woods; and many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Robert Lemon. He will be sadly missed. "Our hearts are broken." God bless you Dad, rest in peace. The family will receive friends at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Friday, Jan. 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Barton, on Saturday, Jan. 8, at 11 a.m. with Monsignor James Hannon as celebrant. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Pallbearers will be Mack Phillips, Aaron Clark, Robert Lemon, Phillip Woods, David Weir, John Kirkwood and Marshall Fazenbaker.

    Lonaconing - Mrs. Anna Beatrice Timney, 58, of Moscow, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Hugh McKenzie and Marcelline (Baer) McKenzie. Mrs. Timney was a member of St. Gabriel's Church, Barton. Surviving are her husband, Billy Timney; two daughters, Mrs. Bonita Vinci, Barton; Mrs. Nina Clark, LaVale; a son, William David Timney, Moscow; two sisters, Mrs. Gerald Vandergrift, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. Irene Fretwell, Baltimore; two brothers, Norwood McKenzie, Winchester, Va.; Donald McKenzie, Illinois, and three grandchildren. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, here. A Christian Wake service will be conducted in the funeral home tomorrow at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Gabriel's Church with Rev. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. May Thomas and Mrs. Robert Lemon, both of Lonaconing; three sons, James Timney, Arizona, and John and Billy Timney, both of Moscow; a sister, Mrs. Samuel McCutcheon, Moscow; two brothers, James Fairgrieve, Pekin, and Thomas Fairgrieve of here; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, Lonaconing, where services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. by Rev. Byron Keesecker. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.     Transcribed by Betty Smith Joshua McKenzie, aged seventy years, of Greenville Township, died at noon Monday in the Miners’ Hospital, Frostburg, MD. He had been active until about ten days ago when he was stricken with a heart attack and other ailments. He was a son of the late Francis and Leah McKenzie. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Armada (Arklie) McKenzie and the following children: Mrs. Elsie Landis of Boswell; Mrs. Eva Werner of Cumberland, MD; Mrs. Ruth Hostetler of Meyersdale; Mrs. Hugh McKenzie of Mt. Savage, MD; Mrs. Beda McKenzie, Raymond, Harold, and Velma McKenzie, all at home. Nineteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Leo. Funeral services were conducted this (Thursday) morning at 10 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church, Pocahontas. Interment was made in the church cemetery, in charge of Jne F. Reich, local mortician.

    He died on 11 Nov 1940 in Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland. Joshua McKenzie, 70, a native of Greenville township, died Monday in a hospital in Frostburg, Md. Surviving are his wife, seven children, and ten grandchildren. The Daily Courier, Connellsville, November 14, 1940.
