Donna Cheryl (Clingan) Lamp, 74, of Cresaptown died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Nov. 22, 1943, in Grafton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Dent and Clara Cornelia (Kline) Clingan. I She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Patrick, Willa, Violet, Virginia, Ruth, Joseph, Jack, Anna, Clara, and Thomas. Donna and her family moved to Cumberland when she was 12 years old; and she grew up in South End. Donna graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1961. She married Raymond W. Lamp Sr. on Feb. 1, 1963; and then moved with him to Cleveland, Ohio, on May 1, 1963. They lived in Ohio for 44 years; and during the course of their marriage, they raised four children. She eventually retired from North Ridgeville City schools after working for many years as a member of the support staff. After Donna and Raymond retired, they moved to Cresaptown in 2007 after building the house Donna had dreamed of since childhood. She loved flowers, and she planted them around her house with Raymond's help. In fact, she loved nature to its fullest - plants and animals alike. Donna enjoyed taking rides through Amish country in Ohio. She also enjoyed watching birds and deer from her patio window in Cresaptown. Her favorite animals were her toy poodles. Surviving are her beloved husband of 55 years, Raymond W. Lamp Sr.; children, Raymond Jr. (Brenda), Gregory (Linda Ann), Melissa (James), and Cheryl (Gregory); grandchildren, whom she enjoyed and loved, Ward Farmer, Mikayla (Richard) Fauth, Zacharia Berry, and Margaret Tassie; siblings, David (Jean, deceased) Clingan, William (Paula) Clingan, Janet (Pete) Bray, and Norma Gorman; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown, on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. Celebration of life services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. Published in the Cumberland Times-News on November 18, 2018

FROSTBURG - Winfield H. Crowe, 82, died yesterday at the Cuppett Nursing Home, Oakland. Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Isaac and Mary Ellen (Chaney) Crowe. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are seven daughters: Mrs. Mary Ada Simpson, Mrs. Matilda Bartlett, and Mrs. Viola Walters, all of Carlos; Mrs. Grace Lamp, Cresaptown; Mrs. Ethe! Mae Condon, Silver Spring; Mrs. Frances Bostjancic of New Jersey, and Miss Olive Crowe, Sykesville, and one brother, Walter Crowe, Cumberland, and 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home here, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Frostburg - Mrs. Mary Crowe, 71, wife of Winfield Crowe, Carlos, died Friday night in Miners Hospital where she had been a patient ten days. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Garlitz of Avilton. Mrs. Crowe was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving besides her husband are seven daughters, Mrs. Ada Simpson, Mrs. Matilda Bartlett, Mrs. Viola Walters, all of Carlos; Mrs. Grace Lamp, Cresaptown; Mrs. Ethel M. Condon, Silver Spring; Miss Olive Crowe, Baltimore; and Mrs. Frances Bosjancic, Youngstown, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Melvin McKenzie and Mrs. Bess Miller, both of Lonaconing; Miss Delia Garlitz, Cumberland; and Mrs. Ethel McKenzie, Avilton; 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
